Basketball at the MAC is a long-standing tradition.
The club has open play/pick-up, organized leagues. clinics,
and even traveling teams that compete against other clubs
in the nation. League games are officiated by high school
and collegiate referees. The league entry fee is $60.
The following is a list of programs we have to offer:
Monday & Tuesday
Open League
This
league is formatted for those who are looking for a competitive
league. You will either play on Mondays or on Tuesdays at
the downtown clubhouse. Eight will be on a team, which is
a nice balance of play time.
Wednesday Over 40 League
Not as competitive as
the Open League, however with the aging population of players
you can still get a decent, competitive game and a great
workout. Games are on Wednesday evenings on the smaller
court downtown.
Thursday Open League
A Mixture of talent,
but overall an intermediate league. Games are held on the
parquet floor out West at 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. There are no
age restrictions. You can play both downtown and at West.
Women's Basketball League
The
six-week league begins Tuesday, October 10. Members’
guests welcome.
$30 per member.
$45 per members’ guest.
Adult Pickup Games
Looking for a pickup game? One of the best workouts
is playing pickup basketball with fellow Club members. Below
is a list of times that players get together:
Downtown
Mondays,
Tuesdays & Thursdays - 11:30 a.m.
Fridays - 6:30 a.m. & 5:00 p.m.
West
Wednesdays
- 6 a.m.
Saturdays
- 9-11 a.m.
Open Play
Youth and adults welcome. Enjoy random play any time
during open gymnasium hours.
Men's Double EliminationTournament
The tournament begins in early April and is double elimination

Andrew
Francis
½ hour - $45
1 hour - $62.50 (add $10 for additional player)
Andrew has been coaching and training athletes both as a
team and individually for more than nine years. Andrew got
his education while playing Varsity basketball for Lehigh
University. After graduating, he coached at the high school
level as well as AAU girls and AAU boys basketball teams.

West
Tonia
Dieteman
Tonia
is a native of St. Louis. She attended Rosati-Kain High
School where she earned the honors of All Conference, All
Metro, All City and All State. After high school, Tonia
went on to play basketball at Benedictine College in Atchison,
Kan. While attending BC, Tonia was a three-and-a-half-year
starter. During her four years, Tonia and her team made
three appearances to the National Tournament and were Conference
Champions two years. Throughout her career at Benedictine,
Tonia was Team Captain, All Conference, Top 10 in 3 pointers
made and holds the All Time Assist Record. Tonia also has
experience coaching at the collegiate level. She returned
to her Alma Mater, Benedictine College, to become the Assistant
Women's Basketball Coach for two years and also was the
Assistant Coach at Highland Community College before she
decided to return to St. Louis.
Eric Saxton
Eric Saxton was recruited by Devalls Bluff High School,
in Arkansas. There he played football, baseball, and basketball,
lettering in all three sports. He was the only player to
lead the team in rushing yards and tackles in same season.
He led the basketball team to two State Runner-Up titles.
Eric went on to attend Capital University, but his college
career was cut short when he was given the opportunity to
play in the NFL. He endured a brutal tryout with the Cleveland
Browns and a brief playing period with the Toronto Argos.
Eric is quoted as saying and firmly believes "If only
I had someone to teach me techniques, I would have been
a dominant force in the League."
