Fitness & Wellness
From personal training to group fitness classes, massage therapy, and a registered staff dietician, the MAC has the expert staff, programs and facilities to achieve fitness and wellness goals.
The MAC offers an extensive array of group fitness classes that are fun, motivational and yield results, including CrossFit, Pilates, yoga, spinning, kickboxing, and Zumba.
Some classes focus on a particular area, while hybrid classes incorporate a variety of exercise techniques, such as:
- weight training, lifting, and kettlebells
- resistance training
- ab toning/core strengthening
- conditioning and cardio endurance training
- circuit training/interval training
- speed and agility
- bosu balls
For those needing that extra push, a knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff of personal trainers are available.
From helping relieve lower back pain, easing labor for expectant mothers and increasing joint flexibility to lessening the effects of depression and anxiety, increasing circulation and providing mental clarity and heightened perspective, massage therapy boosts quality of life and alleviates the common day-to-day kinks and quirks. Whether muscles have become tense from stress or a strenuous workout, the MAC massage therapists are available by appointment to assist with relaxation and rejuvenation.
The MAC has a registered and licensed dietitian on staff who is able to provide nutrition education and intervention to athletes and those looking to lose weight or better manage diseases such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and high blood pressure. David Vandeven also has a masters degree in nutrition and physical performance from Saint Louis University.
