2 new Benefits for Club Members

First, MAC Sports Fans forum on www.mac-stl.org will be a clearing house for members who have venue tickets and wish to sell them at face value to other members by connecting through this Club-Specific Web Forum on the MAC Website.  This service to both sellers and buyers assumes that the sellers are not interested in supporting the “scalping” trade in the St. Louis market area, and/or have tickets for terrific events that others might consider if they knew they were available. Under the St. Louis City ordinances, the agreed price of tickets must be face value or less. The obvious candidates for this are season ticket holders, members with guests in town, etc.

St. Louis U. Billikens
Mizzou Tigers
Fighting Illini
St. Louis Aces
Washingon University Bears
Gateway International Raceway (NASCAR, IRL etc.)

This list is virtually endless! Tickets for wonderful and unusual events should be able to be transferred through these efforts.  You have a ticket that’s going unused for a sporting event?  Put it out on the web.  Your Dad’s coming into town and there’s a Blues game that Friday?  Go find out who’s got the tickets you need.  Consider this our private E-bay for tickets except its first-come, first served instead of bidding.  We’re here to but Sellers and Buyers together in an honest, non-scalping environment.  If you need more than face value for your tickets, then the MAC Sports Fans Forum is not for you.

Second, MAC Sports Fans is assembling a network of team-connected willing individuals who would agree to help us conduct several unique team or venue oriented events (such as team breakfasts, road trips to AA Springfield, Suite at Gateway International Raceway for a big race, etc.).

If you have a particular connection with an organization that would make a great outing, please contact Matt Gross, (314) 569-2900 Ext 207 to start the ball rolling.

There will be no membership fee for 2006.  We’re making this generally available to the membership at large as a benefit.  But you will have to register with the MAC Sports Fans Forum in order to sell or buy tickets, and to coordinate upcoming unique sport outings.
