Missouri Athletic Club, a Platinum Club of America, announced today that construction is underway on an expansion and renovation at its West Clubhouse in Town and Country, Mo. The MAC is adding a bar with indoor and outdoor seating overlooking its pool and renovating the main lobby and Dining Room to emulate the rich décor at its historic Downtown Clubhouse. The bar and Dining Room will be named 1903 after the MAC’s founding year.
The launch of this project is a result of nearly 3 years of planning and deliberation of several different Boards of Governors in response to a survey of the membership that indicated a desire for a space at the West Clubhouse where adults could socialize and entertain clients similar to spaces at the Downtown Clubhouse. The Board of Governors shared that this project reflects the MAC’s efforts and willingness to continue to move the club forward and grant members’ requests.
Leather, dark woods and a wood-burning fireplace combined with fine dining, signature drinks and a nice wine list will extend a club-like yet homey ambiance to the West Clubhouse. Construction is on schedule for completion prior to the pool opening this summer.
