Kim leads the Missouri Athletic Club’s tennis program, and her responsibilities include managing the leagues, directing the pros and providing lessons. Always upbeat and energetic, she is outstanding at spotting technique problems and teaching the correct stroke in a way that is easy to understand.
Background & Experience
Kim is a graduate of Trinity University in San Antonio where she was a two-time All-American. After college, Kim joined the professional tour, and within three years, was ranked in the top 100 in the world. She competed in 26 Grand Slam Tournaments – Wimbledon (8), U.S. Open (8), French Open (6) and Australian Open(4) – and played against tennis greats Martina Navratilova, Chris Evert, Pam Shriver and Billie Jean King. She boasts victories over Steffi Graf in doubles and eighth-ranked Natasha Zvereva in singles at the U.S. Open.
Kim is a native of St. Louis. She is a member of the MAC Hall of Fame, St. Louis Tennis Hall of Fame and the Missouri Valley Tennis Hall of Fame.
