Good Fellowship Day at the MAC is a longstanding tradition celebrated for nearly a century. It’s a day dedicated to camaraderie, sportsmanship and good fellowship among Members of the Club.
The history of Good Fellowship Day dates back to the early 1900s. The idea behind the event was to promote good fellowship and camaraderie among the Club’s Members. They created a special day where Members could socialize and participate in various athletic activities. The Members participated in the day’s activities, which included basketball, boxing, wrestling, fencing and swimming, deeming it such a success that it became an annual tradition at the MAC. Over the years, the event has evolved and grown, with new activities and events added to the program each year.
Today, Good Fellowship Day remains an integral part of the MAC history and culture. It is a day that brings together Members of all ages and backgrounds, and it continues to promote the values of sportsmanship, camaraderie and community that have been at the heart of the club since its founding 120 years ago.
Join fellow Members for this year’s Good Fellowship Day to share in the MAC’s 120th anniversary celebration on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2023, at the Downtown Clubhouse.
