Barre Classes

Barre at the Missouri Athletic Club is a low-impact, high-intensity full-body workout designed to strengthen and tone the entire body. Blending elements of pilates, strength training, and controlled cardio, each barre class delivers a focused, efficient total-body workout in a motivating fitness studio setting.

Inspired by traditional ballet barre technique and modern formats, our classes are built to empower every fitness level.

What to Expect

Using the ballet barre, light weights, and bodyweight resistance, you'll move through strength-building sequences that target the legs, glutes, core, and arms. small, controlled movements create deep muscle engagement, helping you build lasting body strength without placing excessive stress on the joints. Each class format combines targeted strength training, low-impact cardio intervals, core work inspired by Pilates, and restorative stretching to improve balance, flexibility, and recovery. The result is a great workout that challenges the entire body while remaining accessible to participants of all fitness levels.

A Complement to the Mind-Body Program

Many Members add barre classes to a routine that may also include pilates, yoga, strength training, or cardio. This low-impact, high-intensity total-body workout focuses on controlled movement at the ballet barre to build body strength and challenge the entire body without heavy joint stress. Barre works naturally alongside mat pilates and other class formats, offering a focused fitness studio experience that supports every fitness level. At the Missouri Athletic Club, barre continues to grow as part of the broader mind-body program at both Club locations.

Instruction and Registration

Barre classes are led by experienced instructors trained in modern formats. Whether it is your first class or your first time as a new client, you can expect clear instruction and supportive guidance.

Bring water bottles and wear comfortable athletic attire suitable for a strength-building full body workout.

Classes may be taken individually or as part of the monthly class cap across both locations. Registration is available through the MAC app.
